The Mission district is an inner city neighborhood of Calgary, Alberta, Canada that originated as Notre Dame de la Paix, a Catholic mission, and was for a time the incorporated Village of Rouleauville. Mission is located south of 17th Avenue and contains the very popular 4th Street with many trendy restaurants and shops.  Roxboro House (residential tower) and its adjoining mall were erected in 1977 in an effort to meet the rising demands for inner city lifestyle amenities.  Renovated in 2008-2009, by Sable Commercial, the mall had a successful transformation, welcomed new tenants and was aptly renamed Roxboro River Shoppes.
